This event is not limited to just families, but children are included in the class price.  * PLEASE NOTE: We don't want anyone left out for the lack of funds. We have a sponsor willing to pay for anyone who cannot afford the class fee. but would like to attend. All you have to do is let us know when you register and no need to explain or justify. Just let us know!

REGISTRATION: Pre-register and pay by Thursday, June 24. We don't mind late-comers but need to make sure we have all the materials available. Please drop off or mail a check to Country Life Restaurant, 15 Roxbury Street, Keene, NH 03431. Or call Peggy at 603-357-3975 or by email at: Peggy@CountryLifeRestaurant.com.

CLASS DETAILS: The family or individuals will work together in identifying wild edible plants. You will receive a workbook including pictures of plants with recipes. This book is b/w, but has colored stickers to match up to each plant. Your family will also receive a notebook of additional pictures of plants which are common plants I have grown up with. These pictures will be in sleeves and will be in color. Also with your two notebooks you will receive a pen and notepad to take notes. We will walk on my property, on the sides of the road (there is little traffic), and in a nearby field. I will help you identify plants and then you will try to find more on your own. There will be a coloring contest for the children to color a wild edible plant to place in the sleeve on the front of their families three-ring binder. All children will be winners and one special trait from each picture will be identified as a winner and receive a small gift.

LOCATION: Our property is less than a quarter of an acre, but our yard is connected to a large wooded area so we have made arrangements for parking where we will be exploring a field for wild edibles. Meet at Swanzey Community House, 18 Old Richmond Rd., E. Swanzey, NH. Our house address is 202 South Rd, E.Swanzey. Cell: 603-852-3710 if you need help finding us.
