This all-day hands-on outdoor workshop is designed for children ages 10+ to learn wilderness skills, including, but not limited to:
building fires,
water purification,
shelter building,
cooking, and
identifying wild edibles.
What to bring: water bottle, pen/pencil/notepad, knife with parent’s permission, chair if you want to sit down.
What to wear: Wear clothes appropriate for outdoor trekking in the woods and bug protection.
Price: $25 per child; accompanying adults: free;
$25 per non-accompanying adult Includes lunch for child and accompanying adult.

Baxter lives in an off-grid log cabin he built from local materials. Bushcraft and wilderness living preparedness are lifetime interests of his, and he enjoys introducing people to nature by way of camping, hiking, canoeing, and much more! He is a graduate of Swan Mountain Wilderness Guide School in Montana and a Registered Maine Guide. He has a passion for working with young people. He will be sharing wilderness survival and wilderness living techniques.

Kael is an avid outdoorsman with a special interest in wild edibles: plants and mushrooms. Kael, with the help of his younger brother Quillan, forms an impressively industrious team, which has led them to sell wild mushrooms, along with other items, to a select customer base. He has grown up in western Maine, where he and his family raise produce and animals. With knowledge beyond his years, he will be teaching classes on wild edible plants.
