WORKSHOP: Harvesting Fruits and Vegetables with Celeste Longacre
Celeste Longacre, author of Celeste’s Garden Delights, is an accomplished gardener who has been growing most of her family’s vegetables for more than 40 years.
In this workshop, Celeste will discuss how to harvest your vegetables and fruits. Learn about:
Freezing berries, veggies & fruits
Drying fruits, berries & flowers
Putting beets, carrots, and potatoes in the root cellar
Curing onions and sweet potatoes to last all year
Curing winter squash for storage
Making and canning spaghetti sauce
Harvesting garlic and making garlic powder
Making sauerkraut and fruit kvass
When: Sunday, March 3rd, 1 - 3 pm
Where: Country Life Vegan Restaurant, 15 Roxbury St., Keene
